EVENT DESCRIPTION
World Maths day is celebrated every year, in order to encourage students around the world to sharpen their skills in arithmetic and problem solving. We use maths for everyday task like doing groceries, monthly budget and planning for vacations. Numbers are everywhere!
During pandemic, we celebrated World maths day which was on 5 th May .During online session, we discussed about various mathematicians & their valuable contributions in this feild. We conducted quiz to arose interest of students towards Maths. We discussed about issues which students usually face in understanding of maths as a subject. Students were also taking initiatives to talk about their experiences of learning maths till now, how they overcome their difficulty in order to understand any concept, how they treat maths as a subject, what are their opinions about studying maths etc etc during online session. They asked their queries without any hesitation & we came up with the better possible solutions/ answers to their endless questions.
In a nutshell, maths is all about practice & as a learner we need to be persistent, diligent, honest about its perusal. We teachers made it understood to our students in a conducive manner.
